Raspberry Afghan Pattern

Gorgeous textured raspberry afghan pattern.

RASPBERRY KNITTED AFGHAN PATTERN

Materials: 11 skeins Sayelle Raspberry

PLEASE NOTE: Yarn usage may vary depending on your particular yarn techniques.

Needles: Circular 10.5 and Size Crochet hook or size to reach gauge below.

Gauge: 4 sts & 6 rows of pattern stitch = 1″

Finished motif measures 6.5 inches x 6.5 inches.

Finished Measurements: Approximately 34″ x 50″ without fringe.

Pattern Stitch:

Row 1: P1, * yb (yarn back), sl 3 as to purl, yf(yarn front), P1, repeat from * to end.

Row 2: Knit.

Row 3: Purl.

Row 4 K2, * Knit bar from Row 1 and next st on left-hand needle together, K3, repeat from * to last 2 sts, and K2.

Row 5: P3, *yb, sl 3, yf, P1, repeat from * to last 3 sts, and P3.

Row 6: Knit.

Row 7: Purl.

Row 8: K4, * knit bar and next st as before, K3, repeat from 8 to last 4 sts, and K4. Repeat these 8 rows for pattern.

Cast on 129 stitches. Work seed stitch

(Row 1: K1, P1, repeat across, ending with K1.

Row 2: Repeat Row 1 for 2 inches. On last row work seed stitch for 10 sts, place marker, work seed stitch to within last 10 sts, place marker, work seed stitch to end. On next row work seed stitch to marker, begin with Row 1 of pattern, work to marker, work seed stitch to end.

Continue in this way, working 8 rows of pattern between markers until piece measures 50″ or desired length, ending with either Row 4 or Row 8. Work seed stitch for 2 inches, bind off in seed stitch. Using G crochet hood and right side facing you, Sc in each st around afghan, working 3 sc in each corner st, ls st to join.

Fringe: 2 – 24 inch strands 1 inch apart across both ends.
