Punk Rock Corset Gloves

The perfect accessory for your punk rock lifestyle. I dreamed up these gloves at a concert where the lead singer was wearing regular striped arm-warmers in grey and black. I thought, How cool! But I can do better…

They are knit straight with shaping on both sides for the wrist, then finished with an applied i-cord for either side of the “corset” with extra spaces for the lacing holes. Rock on friends.

I’m so disappointed! I love these, and would like to attempt them, but the link for the pattern leads to nowhere! I guess I could still attempt them from the description, but a pattern would be so much easier. :’(

This is the second website I have looked for the pattern for these gloves and to no avail!!! D: Oh well, from what I see, if you know how to knit gloves, just knit the top half with a few stitches missing from one side and do the same with the bottom (so that the halves don’t quite meet.) From there, I would just sew together the short sides with the remaining yarn in a zig zag pattern connecting the two sides together. As for the measurements, I’m stumped. I’ve never actually knit gloves before, so I’m just making an educated guess on the pattern. Hope this helps.

I made these for my niece and she loved them. She just called me the other day and asked that I make her more in other colors. I didn’t think she liked them at first, so no I really really want this patter again!
