Tofu for You!

Cute little block of tofu by Hannah Kaminsky from Bitter Sweet!

This pattern creates a soft, cube-shaped “tofu block” that’s as playful as it is simple to knit. The design uses flat pieces — individual sides plus a larger main panel — which are later sewn together to form a neat, boxy shape. The construction lets you achieve those crisp tofu-like edges while keeping the toy lightweight and squeezable.

Before assembling the cube, there’s an optional step to embroider a face or little features, adding personality and charm. Once stuffed, the block becomes a quirky soft toy or desk companion, with the option of using a firmer insert if you prefer a sharper, more structural look. It’s a fun, beginner-friendly project that knits up fast and always sparks a smile.
