This pattern creates a cuddly teddy bear with floppy limbs and a head that can swivel, giving the toy gentle movement and character.

The construction starts with the legs, which are worked separately and then joined to form the base of the body. The body is shaped with increases and decreases, tapering toward the top, while a special section at the neck allows the head to move freely.

The head is shaped with short rows to define the ears, muzzle, and facial contours, then attached to the body to create the soft “floppy” effect. Arms are knitted with slight shaping for natural curves and sewn on so they drape realistically. The finished bear is both structured and cuddly, making it a charming handmade gift or keepsake toy.
