Cabled Yoke Christening Gown

Cabled Yoke Christening Gown for a baby knitting pattern designed by Judy Lamb.
This gown begins with a beautifully shaped yoke that uses short‑row shaping and cabling for structure and subtle elegance. The yoke joins into the body smoothly, then the skirt flows out with stitch‑patterning and increases to create a soft, full drape. Sleeves, a bonnet and matching booties complete the ensemble, giving a coordinated, heirloom‑quality outfit.

With its mix of cables, delicate shaping, and traditional styling, this gown balances decorative detail and wearable softness — perfect for a special occasion or a keepsake garment.

I had no trouble finding and downloading the gown pattern, I just hope I am experienced enough to complete it! Very glad to see that it is made with a regularly available yarn; too often specialty and/or expensive yarns are called for which I just cannot afford. However, I do appreciate the availability of the free project and would like to make a donation…I saw a donate box somewhere but didn’t click on it to find out how to proceed. I assumed it ment monitary? Thanks again, Claire

I made this for my DGD. I’m not a regular knitter, but found it very easy to follow. DD was delighted with it, and I must say, I was very, very pleased.

I would not hesitate to use this pattern again.
