Yarn Requirements: 50 g pink wool yarn (212 m / 100 g).
Needles: Size 3 (Pony brand).
Pattern: Worked in pearl ribbing.
Construction: Begins from the edge of the leg.
Gauge: 24 sts x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Pearl Ribbing:

• Row 1: K1, P1.
• Row 2: K1, P1.
  On even rows, when knitting the knit stitches, insert the needle into the stitch of the previous row, i.e., the stitch below the open loop.

Instructions:

1. Cast on 40 sts, join in the round, and work in pattern for 30 rounds (about 7 cm).
2. Leave the last stitch on the 1st needle and all stitches on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th needles on hold. Work only on the 9 sts of the 1st needle flat (back and forth) for 21 rows.
   • When working the pattern flat on two needles, on even rows, purl stitches should be worked into the stitch of the row below.
3. In Row 21, after knitting the 9 sts, pick up stitches along the edge following this row with a free needle. Then knit the held stitches and pick up stitches along the other edge. Continue knitting in the round for 10 rows.
   • On the 1st and 3rd needles you will now have almost half as many stitches as on the 2nd and 4th needles.
4. Switch to garter stitch and begin shaping the foot.
   • In every 2nd row, decrease stitches by knitting 2 sts together at the beginning and end of each needle.
   • Continue until only stitches remain on the 3rd and 4th needles, and just 1 stitch each on the 1st and 2nd needles.
5. Graft the remaining stitches together with a horizontal Kitchener stitch (stitch-to-stitch seam).
6. Twist a cord and thread it through the ribbing at the top of the leg.

Punto utilizado: Elástico de arroz.
Construcción: Se comienza desde el borde de la caña.
Muestra: 24 p. x 42 hileras = 10 x 10 cm.

Elástico de arroz:

• 1ª hilera: 1 p. derecho, 1 p. revés.
• 2ª hilera: 1 p. derecho, 1 p. revés.
  En las hileras pares, al tejer los puntos derechos, introducir la aguja en el punto de la hilera anterior, es decir, en el punto que está debajo de la hebra abierta.

Instrucciones:

1. Montar 40 p., cerrar en redondo y tejer en elástico de arroz durante 30 vueltas (aprox. 7 cm).
2. Dejar el último punto de la 1ª aguja y todos los puntos de la 2ª, 3ª y 4ª agujas en espera. Tejer solo los 9 p. de la 1ª aguja en ida y vuelta durante 21 hileras.
   • Al tejer el punto plano en dos agujas, en las hileras pares, los puntos revés se tejen en el punto de la hilera anterior.
3. En la hilera 21, después de tejer los 9 p., levantar puntos a lo largo del borde con una aguja libre. Luego tejer los puntos que estaban en espera y levantar puntos por el otro borde. Continuar en redondo durante 10 vueltas.
   • En la 1ª y 3ª aguja habrá casi la mitad de puntos que en la 2ª y 4ª aguja.
4. Pasar a punto bobo (todas las hileras al derecho) y comenzar la parte del empeine.
   • En cada 2ª vuelta disminuir tejiendo 2 p. juntos al inicio y al final de cada aguja.
   • Continuar hasta que solo queden puntos en la 3ª y 4ª aguja, y 1 p. en la 1ª y 2ª aguja.
5. Coser los puntos restantes con costura invisible (graft o punto Kitchener).
6. Tejer un cordón y pasarlo por la parte superior de la caña.
