Shaping the Sole
Row 1 (RS): Knit 35 [39], turn.
Row 2: Sl 1, k10, turn.
Row 3: Sl 1, k9, k2tog, turn.
Repeat the last row until 31 sts remain (10 sts unworked on each side of the sole).
Next row: Sl 1, k9, k3tog, turn.
Next row: Sl 1, k8, k3tog, turn.
Next row: Sl 1, k7, k3tog, turn.
Next row: Sl 1, knit to end.
Bind off knitwise (on WS) for the back edge of the heel. Mark the center stitch with a contrast thread.
Left Strap
With 2.75 mm needles and yarn in Color B, cast on 44 [46] sts.
Work 2 rows in garter stitch, ending with a WS row.
Buttonhole row (RS): K2, yo, k2tog, knit to end.
Next row: Knit all sts.
Bind off.
Right Bootie
Work as for the left bootie.
Right Strap
With 2.75 mm needles and yarn in Color B, cast on 44 [46] sts.
Work 2 rows in garter stitch, ending with a WS row.
Buttonhole row (RS): Knit to last 4 sts, k2tog, yo, k2.
Next row: Knit all sts.
Bind off.
Finishing
Sew the free edges together with mattress stitch or backstitch. Align the sole with the back seam using contrast yarn, then sew all around.
Sew buttons 2 sts in from the edge opposite the buttonhole edge. Wrap straps around the booties and fasten. If desired, secure the straps to the booties at the back with a few stitches.

Formación de la suela
1ª hilera (LD): 35 [39] p. derechos, girar.
2ª hilera: desl. 1 p., 10 p. derechos, girar.
3ª hilera: desl. 1 p., 9 p. derechos, 2 p. juntos al derecho, girar.
Repetir la última hilera hasta que queden 31 p. (10 p. sin tejer a cada lado de la suela).
Siguiente hilera: desl. 1 p., 9 p. derechos, 3 p. juntos al derecho, girar.
Siguiente hilera: desl. 1 p., 8 p. derechos, 3 p. juntos al derecho, girar.
Siguiente hilera: desl. 1 p., 7 p. derechos, 3 p. juntos al derecho, girar.
Siguiente hilera: desl. 1 p., tejer derechos hasta el final.
Cerrar los puntos como derechos (por el LR) para el borde trasero del talón. Marcar el punto central con un hilo de color contrastante.
Tira izquierda
Con agujas de 2,75 mm y lana en Color B, montar 44 [46] p.
Tejer 2 hileras en punto bobo (todos los puntos al derecho), terminando con una hilera del LR.
Hilera del ojal (LD): 2 p. derechos, hebra, 2 p. juntos al derecho, continuar en derecho hasta el final.
Hilera siguiente: todos los puntos al derecho.
Cerrar los puntos.
Botita derecha
Tejer igual que la botita izquierda.
Tira derecha
Con agujas de 2,75 mm y lana en Color B, montar 44 [46] p.
Tejer 2 hileras en punto bobo, terminando con una hilera del LR.
Hilera del ojal (LD): tejer en derecho hasta los últimos 4 p., 2 p. juntos al derecho, hebra, 2 p. derechos.
Hilera siguiente: todos los puntos al derecho.
Cerrar los puntos.
Acabado
Coser los bordes libres con costura invisible (puntada colchón) o con puntada atrás.
Alinear la suela con la costura trasera usando un hilo de color contrastante y coser todo alrededor.
Coser los botones a 2 p. del borde, en el lado opuesto al ojal.
Envolver las tiras alrededor de las botitas y abotonar. Si se desea, fijar las tiras a las botitas en la parte trasera con unas pocas puntadas.
