This adorable tiny panda knitting pattern creates a little 5.5cm panda that can be used as a miniature toy, ornament or even attached to a keychain.

About the Wee Panda
Despite its tiny size, this little panda includes some clever knitted details. Small bobbles form the ears and body details, while black colourwork creates the panda’s distinctive eye patches.
The body and head are knitted separately, lightly stuffed and sewn together. The eye patches can either be worked as part of the knitting or added afterwards using duplicate stitch, which is a useful alternative if you would rather avoid working the small areas of intarsia.
At only 5.5cm tall, it is also a good scrap yarn project because only a few metres of each colour are required.
Knitting Bee Pattern Notes
Best for: A quick miniature toy, little gift, ornament or stash-busting project.
Difficulty: Easy to intermediate. The knitting is small and relatively quick, although sewing and shaping such a tiny toy requires a little patience.
What makes it interesting: Much of the panda’s character is built directly into the knitting, including its little bobble ears and contrasting eye patches.
Safety note: The original uses 6mm safety eyes. For a panda intended for a baby or very young child, embroidered facial features are the safer choice.
