The Inspired Dolman is a relaxed, lightweight cotton top designed with a slightly oversized fit and a subtle lace‑like pattern. Worked flat in two pieces and seamed, it features a K1, P1 ribbed hem, neck, and sleeve edges, with the main body showcasing a simple yet textured pattern stitch in contrasting colors. The pattern uses a combination of main color and contrast color held together for several rows to create a soft visual depth, then continues with contrast color alone.

Shaping for the dolman sleeves is achieved by casting on additional stitches along the sides of the back and front panels, while the neckline is carefully shaped with decreases to form a gentle curve. After knitting, the shoulders are joined, and ribbed edgings are picked up along the neck and sleeves for a clean finish. The result is a comfortable, versatile top with positive ease that drapes nicely and works beautifully in lightweight cotton for spring and summer wear.
