Lace Chevron – A Free Knitting Stitch by Knitting Bee!

Love this super pretty chevron lace stitch, it is highly textured but looks quite nice whether you decide to block it or not.

First two images are straight on with the stitch after I blocked it!

An image from below shows how lovely the beveled texture of this pattern is.

From below and to the side the stitch looks like little mountain peaks.

Great lace stitch for scarves and baby clothes.

Here is the Lace Chevron stitch before blocking. (I started this swatch with ribbing).

Abbreviations:

k= knit
p= purl
yo = yarn over
sl = slip a stitch without working it from the left needle to the right one
psso = pass the slipped stitch over
k2tog = knit 2 stitches together

Row 1: Knit

Row 2 and all alt rows: Purl

Row 3: k4, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, * k5, yo, sl 1, k1, psso; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.

Row 5: k2, *k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k2; rep from * to end.

Row 7: k1, *k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl 1, k1, psso; rep from * to last st, k1

Row 8: Purl

The 8 Rows make up the pattern.
