About the Pattern

The Whisper Top is a light, airy short-sleeve sweater that blends comfort and elegance. Designed with clean lines and delicate textures, this piece works beautifully as a year-round wardrobe staple. The slightly cropped length, flattering fit, and pretty shell rib edgings make it versatile enough to pair with jeans for a casual day out or a skirt for an evening look.

The sweater is knit seamlessly from the bottom up, starting with a crochet provisional cast-on for a neat hem finish. The body is worked in the round, then divided for the front and back at the armholes. The back features a graceful low U-shape, while the front includes subtle neckline shaping. After joining the shoulders, the sleeves are picked up and worked in the round from the top down, with a delicate shell rib cuff. The neckline and hem are finished with a picot bind-off for a soft, feminine touch.
