Here is my interpretation of Hermione’s hat in the upcoming Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

This hat features a combination of cables and eyelet lace that give it a textured, slightly openwork look — cozy yet elegant, with a subtle interplay of raised cables and airy holes. It’s worked in the round, starting with a ribbed brim for a snug fit, then switching into patterned rounds that alternate cable twists with eyelet rows, giving the hat structure and visual interest.

The crown is shaped seamlessly from the same stitch pattern, allowing the design to flow uninterrupted from brim to top. The overall effect is a hat that’s both warm and stylish — perfect for everyday wear or as a handcrafted gift, with a bit of softness and personality in its subtle lace-and-cable interplay.
