Materials Used for Scarf Shown
- Main Yarn: Alessandra Filati Salice – 70% merino wool, 30% acrylic
- 93 yds (85 m) / 100 g
- 4 skeins
Materials Needed
- Approximately 400 g of a very bulky yarn
- Good substitutes: Rowan Big Wool or any super bulky weight yarn
- US 13 (9 mm) straight needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
Gauge
- 10 sts / 14 rows = 4 in in stockinette stitch
Pattern
Cast on 32 stitches.
Work in k2, p2 rib throughout:
- Begin with a knit row
- Tip: Always move the yarn to the front when switching from knit to purl, and to the back when switching from purl to knit.
Continue in k2, p2 rib until the scarf reaches your desired length.
- For a chunky scarf that ties easily, aim for a longer length.
- The sample scarf is 63 inches long.
Bind off all stitches.
