Feather and Fan Short Scarf

This is a short, lightweight scarf designed to sit neatly under the collar of a jacket. Materials

  • Yarn: 1 skein Malabrigo Lace (430 m). Approx. 300 m used in sample
  • Needles: 5.0 mm (US 8)
  • Finished Size: 15″ × 31″ (or length to preference)

k2tog – knit two together
yo – yarn over

Instructions

Cast On

Cast on 76 stitches.

Pattern

Row 1: k2, k2tog × 3, [(yo, k1) × 6, k2tog × 6] × 3, (yo, k1) × 6, k2tog × 3, k2
Row 2: purl
Row 3: knit
Row 4: purl

Repeat Rows 1–4 until the scarf reaches your desired length.

Finishing

Cast off loosely.
Weave in ends.
Soak in lukewarm water, gently squeeze out excess, and block to shape.
