Free Knitting Pattern for My First Knit Sweater.

Skill Level: Easy

Marly loves sharing her love of knitting with new knitters. And so she has designed this sweater to be easy to fit and uncomplicated in technique. The yarn is a soft brushed acrylic with a touch of subtle metallic shimmer. Choose your favorite shade from lovely pastels, essential wardrobe midtones and pretty jeweltones.

This sweater is designed to be beginner-friendly, with a simple construction and easy-to-follow instructions. It’s worked flat in pieces (front, back, and two sleeves) and then seamed. The pattern uses a basic rib stitch (k2, p3) for the cuffs and hem, and stockinette stitch for the body. The upper portion of the front and back features a textured section created by alternating knit and purl rows. The yarn used is RED HEART® Hygge Charm™, a brushed acrylic with a touch of metallic shimmer.
