Levi’s Baby Blanket is based around the theme of three, which is personal to Levi’s family and also represents Father, Mother and new baby.
I chose three cable patterns for the blanket: a central heart motif repeated three times, a cable that suggested to me a baby cradled between parents, and a simple three-strand braid. Each cable motif is set off by a “gutter” of three stitches worked in reverse stockinette.

Levi’s Baby Blanket features three distinct cable motifs: a central heart motif, a cable suggesting a baby cradled between parents, and a classic three‑strand braid, all symbolizing family in a tender and meaningful way.
Each cable section is framed by small reverse‑stockinette “gutters” and bordered by seed stitch, which allows the cables to stand out and gives the blanket a neat, structured edge. Finished, the blanket is baby‑sized but substantial, making it a cherished keepsake or heirloom-quality gift.
