Kitty Dreams Blanket

This modern mosaic blanket blends bold texture with effortless colorwork. Worked in bulky yarn, the fabric knits up into a dense, graphic square measuring 27″ x 27″, with the pattern formed entirely through slipped stitches—no stranded knitting required. The variegated main color shifts softly across the surface while the contrasting Fisherman shade creates crisp geometric lines.

Each row begins with a twisted-knit edge stitch and ends with a slipped stitch for a clean, polished border. The mosaic chart drives the rhythm: knit the active color, slip the rest, let the yarn do the work. The bulky weight and large needles give the blanket quick momentum, making it a fast, satisfying project with strong visual impact.

I love this pattern, have made at least five of these over the years and I guess I’ll make a few more before I’m done. There are some mistakes in the chart and I’ve altered it a little bit for my own use. I guess it’d be okay to post my “new improved” chart to my blog? I’ll try to restrain myself till I hear back from you.

    Hi Julie,
The pattern is owned by Suzann Thompson, whose website seems to not exist anymore.
So I think if you want to post the amended chart to your blog, you should!
    Thanks!

Thank you Sascha! Today someone on Ravelry asked if I could share the pattern and I referred her here; I just now saw your reply. Guess I’ll find my chart and put it on my blog this weekend. Happy knitting!
